DETER Demos at 2017 DHS Cyber Security Showcase

The Cyber Security R&D Showcase and Technical Workshop, hosted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Security Division (CSD) under the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, is the Federal Government’s largest Cybersecurity R&D Conference. It is an important gathering for researchers and cybersecurity professionals to listen, demonstrate, and share ideas about innovative cybersecurity technologies. This year’s event will feature more than 110 R&D research and technology projects in Washington DC on July 11-13. DETER will participate in the Showcase that takes place on the first day, Tuesday, July 11. Technology demonstrations commence at 4:05 p.m. (local time) in the East, State, and Palm Court Ballrooms at the Mayflower Hotel. The DETER Project will have a booth set up (# 40) where it will demonstrate researchers using DETERLab with a joint demonstration from the Singapore National Cyber Lab (NCL). The first demo will show tools and methods in use by researchers using DETER, along with scenarios that illustrate the scale and complexity of experimentation in DETER. The second demo will show how the DETER system provides reusable building blocks to help others create a range of specialized, advanced testbeds.
